So Little Time

So Little Time, Arkana, Fresh Meat. Also the theme tune to Mary-Kate and Ashley’s show “So Little Time”

Omigod as if I haven’t blogged for a whole week. I am so sorry folks, but here’s my week in brief

Saturday - It’s Independence Day I’m free
Suddenly, LeAnne Rhimes, Twisted Angel

The family FINNALY left for Wales sometime in the afternoon, and later that afternoon Dom came round. We did our usual thing and had fun. His voice was sounding like a cross between Minnie Mouse and normalness, really funny. We went and watched some classic Star Trek; Next Gen, it’s so good to have someone to be all Trekkie with.

Sunday, California here we come
California, Phantom Planet

According to my diary I didn’t do an awful lot after Dom went home. I think I started watching the O.C series one, which is about it. I know I tackled the huge amount of washing up which had appeared, remind me, I mustn’t leave it so long. It’s unhygienic and gross and takes forever if there is loads.

Monday, One of these days I wanna be waiting on you
I’ve Got A Feeling, Suzzy Bogguss

I was ever so domesticated. I got absolutely filthy during cleaning so had to come home and put the washing machine on. Then I made some brownie and ratatouille.

Tuesday, Do you have to walk the way you do, I get weak just watching you
Whatever You Do, Don’t!, Shania Twain

Cleaned the wrong entrances in cleaning so got yelled at and then went to Burnley with Liz and Chrish. We had so much fun wandering around. In the evening Dom came up, and ended up making my tea for me. When I’d asked him what he wanted for tea he said surprise me, which isn’t very helpful. We ended up with a stir fry, which Dom took control of. We took it in turns to distract one another, possibly very dangerous when hot oil etc is floating about.

Wednesday, For every act of love you’ve done, I owe you one
I Will Be There For You, Jessica Andrews

I spent six hours in a car today, went to Wales and back with my Nana and Grandpa to see my family. It was wonderful to have a cuddle with Mummy and Daddy. My uncle brought my cousin up to say hi, and as I only see her when I’m in Wales. Got home at about half eight, and Dom came round again. We continued our Friends fest and made hot chocolate.
The length of time I’d spent in the car had left me rather tired, which could explain why I burst into tears when my recent dumping was discussed. It was so lovely to have someone there to hold me and pick up the pieces. Thanks for your comfort honey, you have no idea what that meant to me.

Thursday, Hanging’ around is just no fun when your alone
Sleepover Club Theme tune
Went for a picnic in a park with Zena and Chrish, we ate lots and lots of food and goodies. We talked all about Miss Leaver’s funny little habits and all the funny things from the last two years.

Friday, It's like the end of era, Like a scene in a rearview mirror
Saying Goodbye To An Friend, Suzzy Bogguss

Walked into Helmshore to pop Katie’s Leaver’s book through her door this morning. It’s like that thing at the end of relationships where you return each others stuff. At least I’ve finally cried it out. Got a call off Luke and Mel from Leeds, who are having a wonderful time. Apparently they’d seen my darling Dominic and rang me to tell me he was behaving himself. Rang him and we had a quick chat. Hopefully he won’t get wet, but I don’t know what two litres of vodka will do to him…..oo eek. Spent most of the day registering with Bath Spa and ordering an NUS card. I can’t wait for student discounts!

Could be New York, may Hollywood and Vine.London, Paris, maybe Tokyo, something’s going on anywhere I go tonight

Wake Up, Hilary Duff, Most Wanted

Wooooo where shall I start? I haven’t blogged since Thursday and have a diary that is crying out for attention. Och no.

So yesterday rocked. Spent the day with darling Dominic, who passed onto me the sacred knowledge of “Hangover Sandwiches”. Not that I had a hangover but come on, cheese and bacon. What more could you want? I honestly think it’s the answer to world peace. (If we could find a version for the Jewish people to eat.) Genius!
Neways we had a wonderful time together. Probably one of the most wonderful so far but shhhh.

I went home and got myself all changed and prettified. I love dressing up. I’m a real girly girl. The whole getting dolled up thing is really no effort to me, I enjoy putting make up on and working out a nice outfit. Most times I go out I will have had it planned several weeks in advance. Right down to the smallest detail.

The first half an hour or so was a tad awkward to say the least, with me not actually knowing anyone there really aside for Katie-Jane. Ah well, I coped and spoke to those there and muddled my way through until Dom arrived, which meant I could relax my spidey senses.
We all made ourselves nice and at home in the Ram’s Head for pretty much the whole evening. I am pleased to have found as pub I actually like, it’s a nice little pub that you can actually socialise in properly.
I managed to make good friends with a pink balloon which became my companion for most of the night. Proved an excellent tool for annoying Nick with. If he’s gonna insult people and make clever comments then he might as well be prepared for being hit with a balloon. Especially if he’s making fun of my boff. I did at one point lose it when he stole it off me, but like Lassie it came back eventually. Sadly it met its end at ASDA when it burst on contact with the railing. I’m still trying to figure that one out. Maybe it was in league with Nick. There was a silver lining, I could make use of Hypno Jacket and Dom and keep my arms warm.

Neways it was a wonderful 24 hours, I had so much fun. Perhaps people see now why I don’t drink, I get that hyper it really isn’t necessary. Being able to act your shoe size really does kick-ass.

When I’m going South……

One Day At A Time, The Alice Bands, (some of you may remember this as the theme tune to Due South, one of the world’s coolest shows simply because it had a Husky and a Canadian Mounty in it).

I’m in. I made the grades, but when 2 C’s are asked of an A grade student something would have had to go seriously wrong for me NOT to get in. Swot? Workaholic? Moi?

Results are as follows;

Biology A
Textiles A
History B
Gen Studies B
(also an ICT A at AS and Critical Thinking AS at D grade (???))

My analysis;
Biology was a relief; I was way into the grade boundary before the exam, which helped as I only got a C on the synoptic paper. My second favourite subject without a doubt, I’m so pleased.
History, well I was hoping for an A, but resigned myself to a B a long time ago, especially after I kinda bombed last years American History paper, and this years course work just WOULDN’T go the way I wanted. I am may be a little disappointed, but I know I am lucky anyway.
Gen Studies is amazing. I think the marker must have been a Meat Loaf fan seen as I slipped in several lots of lyrics. “Life is a lemon and I want my money back”. Tee hee.
Textiles. Oh wow. I didn’t drop a single mark this year.300 marks. A total of 590 overall, my aim to drop fewer marks than last year was reached. I did not except full marks, one comment, KICK ASS!

Spent the day with my wonderful friends, darling Chrish, the Jesses, Lukey, Liz, Mel, Sophie, Zena, Shifa, Eddy and Phil. Good to see the last two, they’re never in the flammin’ country. Huh. As far as I can tell everyone is going where they want, or has somewhere to go or has plans for the next year. Brief three hour sort out with Zena-loo but us Textiles girlies got it sorted. Well Chrish did, is there anything that girl can’t do?

Boff day tomorrow and I’m going out in the evening to celebrate Katie-Jane’s 18th. Happy Birthday darling. Very excited, haven’t seen Dom since Sunday. Ooooo I do like these butterflies.

Maybe we can start again when we’ve already said goodbye

Maybe, Dana Glover.
Funnily enough I had another of her songs in mind for today’s blogg title, “I cannot read your letter, it’s as if I didn’t know the truth”. That was going to be in reference to tomorrows VIPP’s – Very Important Pieces of Paper. But things changed.

The day started off very nicely really, I found out that coming home by coach from Bath is dirt cheap compared to other forms of transport. This means that I can afford to come home at least once a month, maybe more frequently if I get a job. My grandparents decided ever so kindly to give me £80 a month to help out, which more than covers my transport, (which is about £23-30).Wonderful news eh?

Things took a turn for the worse when I was given the friends equivalent of the “It’s not you, it’s me speech” this afternoon. Although it is actually me that’s the problem apparently. To put it bluntly, I have been dumped by someone I have always considered one of my best friends. My head is still spinning to be honest. I had no idea I’d become such a horrible person in recent months. Considering the last five and a bit have been the happiest on my life it’s even more surprising.
I thought after our tiff, we’d fixed the problem. Apparently not. True I have changed, I have far more self-confidence I ever thought I could have, and I’m more openly affectionate. That’s part of our group, we’ve all gotten so close these last few months, hugging and such is the norm……it isn’t being a lesbian to hug your friends.
I don’t know how to fix things, I wish I knew how. I wish you could like me for who I am now Katie, not who I should be in your eyes. I like you for who you are……but if you ever want me you know where to find me.

Oh, to the SimonG-ers who read my blogg, I am sorry. I didn’t realise I was so annoying. I shall be staying clear for the future to avoid any further annoyance and problems. I will miss you though.

I would like to thank the nice people there to pick up the pieces. Katie-Jane, Eddy and Dominic, thank you for the support. It was greatly needed.
I’d also like to thank Hilary Duff in the form of Lizzie Macguire, I watched it over tea and it cheered me up a lot. Ta chick.

Come and stick with me baby, we'll find a way

Stick With Me Baby, Everly Brothers
Seen as I often use lyrics for blogg titles I thought you’d like to know where they come from.

So I have scrap-booked today. Several pages have been done now; it’s coming along really well. Doing it is enjoyable, people wrote such lovely things, and some of my photos are hilarious. It also makes me miss everyone so much. Poopy.
The papers I bought from Paperchase have been very useful, they match perfectly so my colour scheme is working veeery nicely. Thank God for Paperchase! One of the many things I thank the big girl for……I do not however thank her for putting Bath Spa like a gazillion miles away. That is very rude! We shall not dwell on that…….

Oh I would like to thank Henners for saying I should be on a charm bracelet. Possibly one of the sweetest things I’ve been told to date. That was yesterday but I forgot to blogg it, apologies dear.
He he, old married couples……..

Keep the customer satisfied

Keep The Customer Satisfied, Simon and Garfunkle.

Visited the new ASDA today, it’s all shiny new and shrink-wrapped as predicted. As well as huge-mongous. Ever felt small? I do on a normal day but seriously the new ASDA will do it for you. It’s full of staff wandering around aimlessly because there’s nothing for them to do except prop up walls and look pretty. I’m rather pleased that Liz, Chrish and I were among the first couple of hundred in the store. Funky.

We decided that ASDA café looked scarily busy and opted for the safety of one on Bank Street, which does a kick-ass hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream. Hmmmmmmmm

I came home and made a lemon drizzle cake. I got unfairly yelled at for using the mixer on the wrong settings, but with all fairness I didn’t want to use it. Mixers scare me, the thought of being entranced by spinning blades……oooo shiny.

Fat's Sam's Grand Slam Speakeasy

Ah, Busgy Malone, one of the finnest films-slash-musicals ever done. There was a reference in "Spaced" this afternoon, hence my title, from the reprise of "Bad Guys", (at least I think that it's name....it could have been along the lines of "We Could Have Been Anything We Wanted To Be"). But I digress.

Finnaly sorted my phone out. I spent forever ringing Orange to register it, and hanging up thinking I was saving my parents phone bill, (yes that's right a teenager who cares about the phone bill, lol), only to discover it was a free-phone line. Garrr. So I rang, and registered, and waited for the text that would mean I could use it. Text hadn't come, and wouldn't have untill my Dad said "did you ever put the number into the phone?". I forgot my phone needed to know it's actual number. Well I've done that and it's up and running.......not that I understand how to use it yet.

Spent my afternoon at the boff's. As per usual wonderfull time has been had. This time my feet weren't mercilessly tickled. Instead I was made to do my special Teddy's voice. At 18 not only do I still sleep with my Teddy, but I still have a voice that she talks in..........well I don't think it's wierd.Apparently it's one of the many things I do which is adorable. Eh, i'm not going to sniff at being called adorable. I am of course.

Neways I have an actual diary to write now. Ah the joys of pen and paper.
