Sometimes I'm Clueless and I'm clumsy, but I've Got Friends Who Love Me, and They Know Just Where I Stand.

Who I Am, Jessica Andrews

Right I haven’t blogged for a while and I’m starting my packing tonight so I shall be quick. Let’s see what have I done since I last blogged, which was after my adventure with Blondie.

So I finished work Wednesday 13th, which was very sad. When you spend seven years in a place, the last 2 working nine-to-five you get rather attached. I’d made friends with so many of the teachers, some of whom have never even taught me. I am really going to miss it, but since Chrish stopped it wasn’t as much fun. Hope my next job is as much fun!

So I’ve spent pretty much every day working on my “White Paper” project, which is done AND I’ve done a extra piece because drawing No.11 looked rubbish. *grumbles about rubbishness of crayloa crayons for wax resist. I’m so happy it’s done, and in a week and a half. I kick-ass!

On Friday I went to Jess B’s house for a sleepover with my lovely boyfriend. We had a lot of fun messing about with a wig, watching Donnie Darko and Hercules plus flicking through the music channels. Walking Zena and her car Ermentrude to the end of Jess’s lane in the pitch black was funny as well. A little scary but I was looked after nicely by Dominic. And the next day when we walked down with Luke to Rising Bridge Dom and Luke helped me over a scary cattle grid.

Today I went to Manchester again with Luke and Chrish. Lukey didn’t want his “Spoil Luke Day” so we went shopping instead. Always good. We went to “Daisy and Tom” and played with the toys. I got my picture taken with a huge big teddy bear! How cool!

Then we spent nearly 2 hours on the bus coming home because of an accident.

All grown up, I really wanna shout it, I’m all grown up with you!

All Grown Up theme tune, a spin off from the Ruggrats.

Right ho two days to blogg. Let us start with yesterday. Well in the morning I went to ASDA and did a big pre-uni shop of stuff I still need. Most of what I need now is being given me by family members so we’re pretty much there. And I now have a funky pair of speakers for my i-pod. Cracking!

Spoke to Christine, who ahs made it to uni in one piece but is all alone because there’s no one there yet. Oh dear hope you don’t get too lonely, and without me to laugh at, how will you cope?

Went to Dom’s in the afternoon, who was rather sleepy and grumpy after his two night on the trot out drinking. He did apologise for his tetchiness but perked right up when he gave me my second unicycling lesson. Although my legs were still killing me from the last one so we didn’t do it for very long. Instead I got a nice reassuring cuddle about going to uni. *note to self continue to bury head in the sand and pretend your not going; DO NOT think about it, that’s when it get scary.

So today was my adventure with Luke. We went to Chester to see his accommodation and just check out in general where he’s going to be living. Chester seems pretty cool, great shopping but oddly only one Starbucks. That is seriously weird; it breaks the “one on every street corner” rule. However there is a Subway on every street corner, (both the food place and actual under-road thingies), so perhaps that balances it out.

Neways I digress. We found hi house, the roughest looking one on his row, tee hee. Luke’s living in a dump! i jest, it’s not that bad, looks ok. I shall report back in more detail when he has had me round for tea. Then we went and wandered around the uni campus for a bit before going to find food.
Where did we go? Hmmm one on every corner…so much choice. Subway of course and in tribute to our “we’re growing up” joke stolen from Friends we had a Meatball Marinara sub, which was delicious, especially as it comes with cheese, which just makes anything.

After a bit we decided to go back to somewhere we knew better, the somewhere being Manchester. I managed to get some sketchbooks etc from Paperchase and Partners, so I’m working my way along the list of things I need. Slowly. One thing I will advise you, don’t get on Northern line trains, they are SO slow. Arriva is wonderfully quick, and much cushier.

‘Twas a good day with Blondie, we had a lot of fun and a nice little adventure. We are so all doing lunch in Chester sometime….lets just get on random trains one day and see where we end up, it can’t go wrong. My plan is flawless. (Well almost.)

They say they love my ass ‘n,Seven Jeans, True Religion's

My Humps, Black Eyed Peas

I appear to have a few days to cover again. So let’s start with my blogg title shall we? Well I went jean shopping basically. I have 3 pairs of jeans that fit me, which can be somewhat of a pain. So it was off to T.K.Maxx for me because my ebay search was proving fruitless. Now normally I don’t bother with designer labels, but my dark blue FCUK jeans fit me better than anything else I have ever bought, and given how often I wear jeans it’s worth spending a bit more on them. My search was successful, a pair of mid-blue FCUK ones, and a pair of Levi’s in a very dark blue. I like buying my jeans dark and watching them fade. It’s fun.

Spent the rest of the day wrapping my head around my horrible brief for a “holiday project” Bath Spa sent me today. The topic is “A white piece of paper” and they want 10 drawings by the time I go down. So about one every two days. It was a very nasty surprise. One was very upset, I spent most of the day verging on tears. Thankfully I forced myself to tackle the first drawing this afternoon and now have plenty of ideas. Part of the problem is people keep telling me I’m at a disadvantage because I haven’t done the foundation year, and I have no idea whether there will be anyone in my position on my course or whether I really am the oddiety I’m made out to be. That’s a lot of extra pressure, I have a lot more to prove I feel.

So what else have I been up to? Well Thursday I spent at Dominic’s enjoying our Sixth Months together day. It’s gone incredibly fast and has defiantly been the happiest six months of my life. He finally got around to giving me that unicyling lesson we were supposed to meet up for all those months ago, omigod the hilarity! It’s so much fun, I’m having another lesson tomorrow. If my legs have stopped aching from the last time….they are killing me!
Tom had to return the unicycle which had so carelessly been left in his car boot, and we raced Dom down to the car park, (Tom and me being in a car and Dom being on the unicycle.) He was peddling that fast he looked like some kind of Thunderbirds puppet. It was almost as funny when Tom and Dom rode on it after we’d shrunk it for moi, who is apparently “impossibly tiny”.

Yesterday I went to Accrington with mum to sort out my bond money. Most of my savings is locked up in a 3 year bond, a one year bond and a regular savings account. We hit several problems. First the 3 year bond doesn’t mature until the end of September, so I will have to transfer that money to my HSBC account whilst at uni. Secondly the idiot of a woman who opened my one year bond last year accidentally opened a 2 year bond, so I can’t get that money till NEXT year. As if! It’s a good job I have saved a fair bit to start with. On the upside my One-No-Maybe-It’s-Two-Year bond will be handy for when I move out of halls into private flats etc next year.
In the evening I went to see Right On Your Door with Luke, Jess B, Eddy and Phil Jess Milly and Sophie joined us for tea at MacDonald’s but couldn’t stay for the film. (Speaking of it was ok, I certainly wasn’t expecting the ending, but I think I would have preferred something happier. It was all that was on though….). I go my revenge on Luke for walking in on me in my bra by filling him jacket pockets with popcorn, all’s fair in love and popcorn-wars. After the film we returned to MacDonald’s for a good hour to catch up before Eddy drove us all home. Thanks Eddy-Bear.

In other news, Katie-Jane and Christine have both headed off to their respective universities today. The Best of British to you both. Miss you and love you so much.

I promised I include this on Wednesday, here is some SHAMELESS advertisement for Christine’s website about some books called Percy Jackson. Please check it out;

We Will Take Over, We Are Superior Beings

Doctorin the Tardis, the Timelords

I shall blogg whilst I wait for the computer. Well currently I’m on the laptop, but I want to use the printer. Wait a minuet I hear you cry; didn’t you buy a printer with your laptop? Yes I did, can I be fluffed to get it out of its box, connect it all? Can I hell. Why waste my ink when I can waste my parents?

Christine made it up, and we had a wonderful time. As she lives in Middleton I don’t see her that often and now we’re all bumming off top uni I’ll see her even less. Och noo. We implemented last times plan to watch classic episodes of Doctor Who and watched the following;

The Five Doctors
Genesis of the Darleks Parts 1 & 2
The Sontaran Experiment

I LOVE Tom Baker’s Doctor, he’s so cool. So I insisted on watching episodes with him in. Next time we are SO finishing Genesis of the Darleks. We also demolished most of a packet of fizzy Haribo, an improvement on last time when we ate a whole packet between the two of us.

I got dropped off for cleaning, and was actually doing only one patch rather than two. I am baffled by why Linda and Marj are training a Y13 on toilets when she’ll only be here another year. It seems more logical to train up a Y12 newbie. Oh well I’m not the boss, and since when have bosses ever thought logically?

Neways I’m off to my paper diary. Tomorrow I am supposed to be learning ho to ride a unicycle with any luck. Something I was supposed to do six months ago. How time flies!

Ring, Ring, Ring, My Cellphone's not Ringing

Ring, Ring, Ring Aaron Soul

I’ve left myself half an hour to blogg with before I go and watch CSI and see how the dead person died and why.

Had a funky Monday, went to Liz’s house to hang around with her and Jess B. , and the CRAZY dog! Who seemed to be playing a game of “How many times can I trip Claire up?” when we took her for a walk. We had yummy cheese and ham toasties before Liz had her driving lesson and Jess and I wandered down to work.
It being my sister’s first day at Haslingden High I decided to see her onto the school bus home. I caught the bus to school until about last Christmas and but stopped getting it home because I started work late September Y12. It can either be a fun experience or horrible, depending on what the Little (censored)’s do. However my sister decided to walk home with some friends, but I didn’t know this so when she didn’t get on the bus I spent an hour panicking. Thankfully I got in touch with my mum so the panic was over. One was not amused.

To digress briefly, my sister appears to be having a hard time adjusting to the Big School. We had more than a few tears Monday night, she hated the lessons, was scared of getting lost…..She is a worrier by nature and blows things up. So we’ve spent hours reassuring her and I saw her onto the bus this morning. Apparently the second day went better. *Phew
I’m starting to freak enough about uni as it is, without worrying about her!

Neways back to Monday, I cleaned 9 toilets, lovely, then made my merry way to Dominic’s house. Running into Katie-Jane and Kim on the way, small world! I managed to get a suitable amount of sympathy from Dom for the cold he kindly passed onto me. Some boy’s give their girlfriends flowers, mine gives me a cold. Huh. Then he took the Mick out of Textiles being a doss subject. You’d better have been jokin’ boy!

So today, well Christine and Joanne were supposed t come up, but the unreliability of Mr Fix-Laptop Man meant they are coming tomorrow instead. So I was taught how to knit. This is something I have been meaning to do since Bath Spa’s open day, when I saw a whole bunch of girls sat their gossiping and knitting in one room. And mum was not impressed I’ve left it till last minuet but I have been rather busy with you lot. So now I’ve started. It’s easier than I recall but we shall see.
My phone had a lovely freak out moment where it refused to send messages. Oooo that’s annoying! Thankfully it appears that Orange have got their act together so it’s all working now. As I may be going to Chester on Monday with Luke I kinda need it to work.
Q. Is it wise to go somewhere alone with a boy who quite happily walked in on me when he’d just been told I was only in my bra and jeans? Answers in a comment box please.

Oh dear it’s nearly 9 and I meant to do the ironing before I went to bed. And my CSI time will be spent on my real diary. Oh well I’ll do it tomorrow morning.

Took A While To Drag Me Out Of Bed, Aim Some Coffee AT My Head

So Little Time, Arkana

Saturday and Sunday, Scooby Dooby Doo where are you?
One of the many Scooby Doo them tunes

Well Saturday night to Sunday morning was Liz’s party. Which was a ton of fun, we had a sweet fight and I discovered if you throw a gummy bear just right it sticks to the wall. He he he. Unfortunately Liz’s dog Skye managed to drink one of the cocktails we’d made and spent the rest of the morning unable to walk straight. Is it cruel to laugh? She was just so funny, falling over her own feet. Bless.
Chrish and I watched a Scooby Doo movie which was cracking. Except I fell asleep before the end so Chrish had to tell me what happened. Who was the monster!

Sunday afternoon I went to my Nana and Grandpa’s for tea, I was so tired I was practically falling asleep on them. And did fall asleep in the car home. Oooops

Monday, Let the Rain Fall Down and Break My Dreams, Let It Wash Away My Sanity
Come Clean, Hilary Duff

The only thing that happened was I went to Tesco for stuff and got soaked. Right down to my underwear. I do a lovely impression of a drowned rat when wet, and this was no exception. How very attractive…..

Tuesday, We Were Lying Together on a Silver Lining, I was Dying Just to ask for a Taste
You Took The Words Out Of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night), Meat Loaf

Dominic came up, suffering from the side effects of Leeds, (a cold). We were intending on joining Rhodsey and Nick at some pub in Whitworth but Liz arrived bringing her doggy Skye, so we missed our bus and had a quiet night in instead. Which was lovely as always. I did have my provisional wrestled off me at the bus stop just so he could laugh at my photo, charming! I don’t know anyone with a good driver’s license picture. It would have been funny if some randomers thought he was trying to mug me though.

Wednesday, It Don’t Take Money, It Don’t Tke Fame, Don’t Need No Credit Card To Ride This Train.
Power Of Love, Huey Lewis and the News

I hovered up those snail/slug trails in the Music rooms today. They hoover nicely, which was a relief and rather amusing. I think I may have got chatted up by the caretakers at one point as well, they were trying to figure out why the cleaning cupboard light wasn’t working. I already knew why, the silly people decorating Room26 had disconnected something and not reconnected it.

I was invited to a sleepover at Kim’s house, which was soooooo much fun. Give a bunch of teenager’s alcohol and some kind of computer game and much entertainment can be had. We opted for vodka shots and Lugi’s Mansion. Not only does Lugi run in the funniest way possible, but when he ran into an object it looked more like he was humping something. Tee hee.
We watched Born Invincible, (although the guy was clearly NOT born invincible). Possibly the funniest martial arts film ever! Seriously dubbing makes films funny! Jackie Chan’s Police Story is a testament to that. I do think they should have put the white caterpillar dude’s weak stop somewhere more amusing than his throat. Little toe maybe? We bedded down to watch Back To The Future, I love Christopher Lloyd, he rocks as carzy mad characters like Doc Brown and The Pagemaster. Dominic and I managed to score the most comfortable sleeping arrangement, a materess on the floor. But thanks must be given to Katie-Jane for relinquishing it to us.

Thursday, I’ve Been Fuelling Up On Cocaine and Whiskey
Picture, Sheryl Crow and T. Rex

Left Kim’s waaaaay to early for my liking, stupid opticians appointments. Yet again I need new glasses and contacts. The former cost me £220.76. They are about as frameless as you can get, and I paid a little extra to have the lenses thinned. My prescription is ridiculously high because I’m so blind and if I wish to avoid bottle-bottoms thinning is the way to go.
Went to Liz’s in the afternoon for an inside picnic, which was fun. We had lots of food and I ate plenty of lemons. Zena, Jess and Chrish were there too. And I had my first dabble with the demon drink in the form of a tequila slammer, (well half of one cause I am a wuss). At first I was merely very tried, but soon went VERY hyper and very loud. In fairness I am hyper normally when fed sugar or surrounded by friends so it wasn’t that bad really. But I may need to work on my volume control though. Also tequila is vile. The lemon and salt achieve NOTHING.
Dominic came round for one last night before the family returned and I inflicted Dinner ladies on him and we watched some more Star Trek.

Friday, Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This
Sweet Dreams, Eurhythmics

Last day of summer clean was nice because the bunch of us that ended up cleaning the English Block worked together in the end because of the mess the decorators had left. I worked three hours before going to Dom’s house Where I fell asleep after lunch. He has a comfy bed, what can I say. He very kindly left me to doze whilst he got himself ready to go out. This time it was off too Luke’s for his Big Night In. He’s been planning this for months and has been eagerly anticipated.

And what fun it was; Mattress sliding, midnight, water fights and popping balloons using various body parts. Sooooo much fun! I love it when I can hang around with my wonderful friends with my wonderful boyfriend. Although some people seem to think we will get up to unsavoury things if left alone for a few moments. Some credit please. Tee hee.

Saturday and Sunday, I won't be struck by the weather, Hold on when the wind's so strong
Electric Storm, Delta Goodrem

The family returned shortly after Dom had gone home on Saturday and don’t actually seem to have missed me much. In fact I am rather worried that I am no longer inner-circle in the group but rather on some outer fringe alone. I normally hug my mum all the time but she hasn’t shown any interest in a hug……but we did have a quick family one so I could thank them for the lovely jewellery and tray they brought me back. So perhaps I am just being paranoid. I certainly am unwell; my nice boyfriend shared his boy germs with me. There is also the fact we got soaked walking to mine.
